Cottage Food Law Info
Why You Can’t Click "Ship It" (Yet)
As much as we’d love to deliver Bibs to your door like a caffeinated fairy godmother, we’re currently roasting under Michigan’s Cottage Food Law — which means:
✅ We can sell online (woohoo!)
❌ We just can’t ship (boo!)
🚗 All orders must be picked up locally
What Is the Cottage Food Law, Exactly?
It’s Michigan’s way of saying, “Go ahead and sell food from home — just don’t get too ambitious.”
In short:
You can sell your product online.
You can accept payment online.
But all products must be handed off in person — no shipping, no mailing, no drop-shipping magic.
Why We’re Still Doing It
Because we believe in this coffee. We believe in starting small and roasting well. And we believe that big things start with pick-up tables and weird legal restrictions.
With your support, we’re turning small-batch beginnings into something much bigger.
What’s Next for Bibs?
We’re already working toward:
✅ A fully licensed roasting space
✅ Shipping (yes, finally)
✅ Wholesale partnerships
✅ Maybe even a funky little café down the line
Your support brings that future closer, one bag of beans at a time.
