About Us
Bibs Coffee Roasters is a small-batch specialty coffee roaster based in West Michigan and built on the belief that coffee can be excellent without being exclusive.
We source exceptional single-origin coffees and roast them with care, clarity, and just enough nerdiness to keep things interesting.
Some people drink coffee to survive the morning.
Some people build spreadsheets about brew ratios.
We’re here for both.
What We Care About
Craft that respects the bean – and the people who grew it
Education without ego – because learning is better when it’s shared
Joyful coffee culture – the kind that makes room for curiosity, community, and second cups
Giving back – long-term, we aim to support clean water projects and build relationships with coffee producers in meaningful ways
So whether you’re a daily drip loyalist or the kind of person who talks about terroir at parties — welcome.
You're our kind of coffee person.
How We Select & Roast Our Coffee
Every bean gets the respect it deserves.
We source coffees that score 80+ on the specialty scale—but most land well above that. Each one is chosen for its unique origin story, standout cup profile, and the intention behind how it was grown and processed.
We roast light to medium for most offerings, not because it’s trendy—but because it lets the coffee speak.
Our goal is to highlight what’s already there: the bright stone fruit in a washed Ethiopian, the cocoa-and-caramel in a smooth Colombian, or the earthy nuttiness of a natural Brazil.
For espresso-focused roasts, we may push into medium-dark territory, but never at the cost of clarity or character.
We’re not here to flatten flavor—we’re here to bring it forward.
Behind every bean is a farmer, a co-op, a region, and a whole lot of hard work. Our job is to roast in a way that honors all of it.
We measure, cup, adjust, repeat.
(And yes, we track way too much data about airflow and roast curves.)
Because when we get it right, you can taste the difference.
